Roller Dirty

Last night, Mark and I went to the championships for the Detroit Derby Girls.  It has been an amazing season what with the sold out crowds and the growth the teams have shown, so I was really looking forward to going.  Sure, I was disappointed that my favorite team, the Pistolwhippers, would not be reclaiming their championship trophy, but at least ( Read more... )

Life is beautiful!!! Great job, great boyfriend, the best friends a girl could ask for, and lots and lots of roller derby!

I sure do miss you, though.

Are you home for the summer or are you staying at school?

Life sounds fantastic! : ) And roller derby?! That's the best thing I've EVER heard!

I'm home for the summer... kind of. I'm in a show at OU('Brenda Bly! Teen Detective' It's a Nancy Drew-ish musical set in the '50s.) until June 1st. We opened on Friday, so I'm down there quite a bit.

maybe you should be the new talent! anonymous May 12 2008, 02:46:52 UTC
it seems like you have a lot of strong opinions for the upcoming season...maybe you being a skater will be some more great feedback and you could be that awesome new talent like racer!

Racer's off night was because of Pistoffs defense! anonymous May 12 2008, 04:19:46 UTC
Racer McChaseHer had a rough night, but give full credit to the Pistoffs defense. They are the league's best defensive team, and they put on a derby clinic at the game. Racer did end up with 39 points, but the Pistoffs also stifled the Dames other jammers. And Bikini Killer stepped up big-time for the Pistoffs by scoring 30 points, which was a surprise because Bikini had only scored 7 career points before that game (she had only jammed 5 times in her previous 19 games played).

I have to say I'm glad I'm DDG staff and I don't have to sit with the drunks. Drunks can sure spoil an evening at a sporting event. Sorry about that.

Bummed that I missed so much of this season. But hopefully we will be bringing another little Dames fan with us to upcoming matches. You should come over and see the little fan soon. She has pretty good neck control and only really likes to spit up a lot on Rachel, so you could hold her and everything.

Yeah, why does she only spit up on me??? Maybe it just seems that way since I hold her most often.

I wish I could dress her up in a Devil's Night Dames onesie.

She's still a little young for me to hold her. I was telling the cuz that I just started holding my friend Susan's baby last week and she's 7 months old.

But, since I got that out of the way and neither of us shat our pants, maybe I can grab Georgia sooner!
