For those of you who are wondering -- that's my computer. Or was my computer. I am typing this on my brand new MacBook. It's a bittersweet feeling. On the one hand, ZOMG A MACBOOK!!!!! On the other hand, sniff, my Nigel is gone. My poor Nigel. He was only three years old. And since it was his hard drive that failed, I've lost about 1.5 ( Read more... )

Good to hear you've got your problems sorted :) I remember when I managed to kill my computer, it wasn't a good time. Thankfully I had an old one I could use, otherwise I would have gone bonkers!

Same problem here, sis. Luckily, I found the system reboot CD and managed to get everything onto an external harddrive before my computer decided to nearly die. My poor Baby (nicknamed Lappy). I named my car Pigwidgeon (yes, I'm that much of a loser and ZOMG 7th book)...
Hrmies...you could ASK the Macbook what her name is.
