sounds potentially worth reading if i can remember it! except i REALLY don't like charles dickens, so if this writer resembles his style of boringdom, please, WARN ME!!!!
i like oscar wilde (the picture of dorian grey) type things, i just get bored with people being mean to orphans (my solution would be to injure people being unnecessarily mean to those who don't have means; and yes, i've had friends who've lived on the street, which probably contributes to that feeling and the lack of interest in a book like that...); but this book sounds kinda interesting, and i need to figure out a place to write it down that i WONT lose and/or forget about...
Definitely keep it in mind...it really is a good read. I am wary of giving out 5 stars to books I review, no matter how good, but this one is definitely worthy.

They do have a similar style (seeing as they were contemporaries), although Wilkie Collins was more into mystery/thriller than anything else.
Like any other classic, it does take a measure of patience...but you're ultimately rewarded when the entire novel comes together.
