Evie smoothed down her dress, and wondered if it was too old-fashioned, then went back to trying to make her hair behave while she waited for Zack.

Layla was moving around the room at a speed that was probably not recommended with the height of heels she was wearing, making sure she had everything, and looked as perfect as possible. Just because this was a friend-date didn't mean she didn't want to impress Dean, if it was possible. "Evie! Tell me I shouldn't be nervous?"

"You shouldn't be nervous," Evie said instantly. "You look lovely! And Dean is very nice. You're going to have a wonderful time." She fussed wit her skirt, then asked, "Do I look all right? Not too old-fashioned?"

"Not at all. You look wonderful," Layla said, smiling. "Zack's going to flip when he sees you."

"You really think so?" Evie smiled hopefully. "it's my first date. Not my first dance, but the first one with an escort. I want it to go well."

Zack knocked on the door. And fidgeted.

Evie hopped off the bed, and smoothed her dress again. "I'll get it! And if it's Dean, I'll tell him to wait."

She opened the door, and immediately beamed at her date. "Hello, Zack! You look very dashing."

Zack blushed. "You look pretty."

"Thank you." Evie blushed as well. "It's kind of you to say so."

Dean knocked on the door.

With Zack already there, that only left one person to be at the door, so Layla jumped up and scrambled over, taking one last moment to compose herself before opening the door. "Hi!" she said, grinning when she saw Dean.

"Hi," Dean replied, looking her over with a grin. "Wow. You look good."

Layla beamed and did a little twirl in front of Dean. "Thanks! You look really good too."
