He nodded back to Fred in agreement. "Burning Man be damned, it's gonna take a lot more to keep us out of the pubs." In times of crisis and danger, there were few things a drink (or twelve) couldn't fix.

At the door, Fred stopped. "We'll figure something my for a more permanent bug." Clutched in his hand was a bag full of gadgets, bits, and bobs.
He pushed open the door revealing the dingy pub. Even 10 years after the First Wizarding War the pub remained the tiny, smelly place of their youth. A wizened old wizard turned from his perch beside the door, grunted in acknowledgement, and returned to his pint.
Fred exchanged a look with George and headed inside.

For the sake of not attracting attention (purely business, really), George made a bee line for the bar first, eyeing his surroundings on the way for any viable spots in which the ears could the placed. He ordered two pints from the grubby bartender, then turned back to Fred. "So," he said just under his breath. "Spot any prime bug spots?"

Fred took a long draw before setting it down on the bare wood table. "Under the benches," he suggested, "maybe see if we can charm any to the walls..." He trailed off, deep in thought.
Reaching into his pocket he pulled out an Ear. "No harm in listening at the bar," Fred grinned and deftly tossed the long string like device towards it, keeping hold of the other end. No one saw him so it, and the Ear landed perfectly out of sight behind a jar of pickled eggs.
