Come on, give the Winter Olympics the respect it deserves! While Week 1 of the Summer Games (with its swimming/gymnastics 1-2 and the peppering of volleyball, basketball, and diving) is some of the best sports viewing outside of March Madness, the Winter games never lack in excitement the way Week 2 consistently does for Summer.

Track & Field is only so exciting (though a Usain Bolt helps), but with varieties of snowboarding, downhill skiing, figure skating, speed skating, bobsledding, luge, skeleton, and even curling (so addictive...), the Winter games has a more balanced program severely lacking in the boredom department.

winter x games > winter olympics...

I just don't get the winter olympics. There's only so many ways to watch a human shoot down a mountain... The ratings suggest that most americans agree with me.

I think watching someone push their body to the physical limits just has more of the human struggle element than watching fine skill... you may be the only person on earth that finds moguls more enthralling than a steeplechase.
