Okay, three things.

1. If I were a terrorist, I would steal a submarine or a boat or something, and sink an Americain cruise ship. Every time I see them on TV I cringe because they are such huge targets, they are full of lots and lots of people, they are pretty symbolic of capitalism and overindulgence, and they seem to be not really protected at ( Read more... )

hell yeah, back in the 40s men were men. they wore suits & fedoras all the time & no matter where you were or what time it was, it was always appropriate to have a scotch on the rocks & a cigarette. even in the office! especially in the office...

As far as I understand it -- Israel/Palestine actions are nothing about "winning".

They are about living in a constant state of pressure and flux, where the rules keep changing and everyone is under incredible amounts of stress and pain. Finally people just get fed up and decide, "well, I'm going to die anyway, and probably soon, I might as well take some folks out with me." Oh so I've heard.
