I'm doing a motorcycle safety course tonight and this weekend, with my sister, and I'm really excited. I couldn't find my permit for awhile and started to panic, but now all is well. I'm glad Kerry's going with me.

Man, I feel like this is a cop-out way of saying it, but Life Aquatic may be the kind of movie you only get when you're older. Like, Royal Tenenbaums makes a lot of sense when you're approaching thirty, Life Aquatic I think makes more sense when you're leaving it in the dust. It also helps if you're an oceanographer having a mid life crisis.

Ok, that's fair, I get what you're saying (even though I'm barely approaching 25 and I love/think I got Royal Tenenbaums). It's just that I think a lot of the moments hit, and that they were great, but that they just didn't move along well. I don't know.

And what, you don't know the song? I was really hoping you would know it, but I thought I would be sneaky and put it in my own journal rather than be obnoxious and ask you in yours. I MEAN WHERE WOULD I GET OFF DOING THAT?
