R.I.P., Jerry Reed

Country singer/actor Jerry Reed has died of complications from emphysema at age 71. I grew up hearing his music, seeing him on Solid Gold and in movies like Smokey and the Bandit, and I'll always remember him fondly.

I really liked Jerry Reed still think of him in smokey and the Bandit and so many other films and shows.

Yeah, me too. And (uncool admission alert!) I'm a real sucker for the old country singers like him, George Jones, and all the others who were big in the '70s. I grew up on that stuff.
