That's the phrase the advertising company hired by the LAPD thought would sell the idea of being a cop the best. But I think something that goes a little deeper and more to the heart of the matter would be appropriate. Why not something like, "The LAPD: Justify your worst character flaws with our badge ( Read more... )

Sounds to me like they had a crime report and were hunting for someone of his description. I think you're just prejudiced.

Factoring in all the other ways that the san pedro police have been making it more and more difficult to simply be a homeless person in that city, (closing of mental health clinics, harsh enforcement of anti-loitering laws, etc), and the fact that there is such a huge push for gentrification at the moment, I don't find it all that unreasonable to think they were simply trying to get one more homeless guy out of sight and mind. Especially considering the bewildered look on the homeless guys face when it was all going down ( ... )

I dont think anyone called the cops just because he was a homeless person, I'm guessing that someone saw him on the bridge, maybe one of the longshoremen working below, and called the cops about it. Pedestrians arent allowed on the bridge, so that would make sense.

The new job is good. A bit of a drive, but I certainly like it. It's challenging.
