There is so much to love about this chapter, it's great. The location is thoroughly Booshy; I can absolutely picture it. And it's full of so many lovely little moments of fondness; the fact that Howard immediately goes haring off as soon as he hears Vince's voice, their little domestic bedtime scene, Vince throwing himself at Howard in a hug and making sure he's alright, no rags in his hair. And then, the fact that Vince spent time customising his rags with sequins-- that he, in fact, wasted time doing that, and that he knows it, but he was so distressed! And Howard reassuring him that the sequins look good-- that is perfectly in character for both of them.

And soooo many brilliant little turns of phrase; as solid as Nicky “Hot Tuba” Malone’s third and final jazz record made me SHRIEK with laughter. And the banter! The quip about Harpoon Moon and Moby Dick, and that Vince just picked the oldest, ugliest mirror in the room because he knew that'd be the one Howard went through-- properly, properly Booshy, seriously

I squealed with delight reading this, honestly <3 and you picked up every little quip and quirk, I love you a bit! thank you so so so SO SO much for this comment, truly, I could not ask for higher praise than 'properly booshy' XXXXXX (and of course Vince would customize the rags, the beautiful shambles, he's Vince Noir rock and roll star after all)

I think our fandom is pretty well summed up by how we are all awwwwing over Vince checking Howard's hair for rags and Howard complimenting Vince's efforts to bedazzle his own rags! The whole chapter is sweet despite all the creepy. I have been behind, but this chapter was just the treat I was hoping it would be!

Like hobbit_feets, I loved the metaphor Howard uses when he notes that the mirror is as solid as a good jazz record. It made me grin so widely! And Howard and Vince meeting up, and Howard carefully checking Vince's story, wanting to make sure real!Vince is real and fake!Vince was fake.. everything about that was sweet and so in-character.

But most of all I love that Vince customized his rags, and that Howard compliments them, and understands that Vince needed to take the time to do that. And Vince knew what mirror Howard would go through. I just love that you wrote them understanding each other so well, because that is one of my favorite parts of the Boosh.
