Author's Notes: If you haven't read
Good Omens, you should. Or at least go read about it on Wiki, so you'll have a clue what I'm semi-basing this on.
Booster is an
incubus, Ted is a
principality. (Minor demon and angel, respectively.) If it is not obvious, this is an AU.
One day I will come up with a name I like.
No beta. And please take note that I am not a religious scholar, nor do I actually care if I messed something up. This isn't srs bzns, it's silly AU fun with minimal research.
Inspiring Lust
Ted's wings were in disarray.
Booster couldn't actually see them, since the principality had them tucked away, but he could somehow feel a sense of disarray from somewhere around Ted's back. Plus the rest of the man-shaped being was in disarray, so it wasn't a stretch to assume it reached the parts that weren't immediately visible.1
His fingers itched to groom the wings, smoothing feathers back into place, but Ted was busily explaining an inspiration he'd nudged an engineer toward, and the resulting flurry of invention that had followed. The expression on his face was almost rapturous, and in fact Booster could see a glow of holiness around his edges.
He looked away, fiddling with his yellow-tinted shades before donning them again. He couldn't look at that glow without getting a headache.
Leaning a hip against his workbench and grinning, Ted finally asked, "So how are things on your end?"
"Oh, you know, the usual," Booster said with mock casualness, waving a hand. "Tempted a young couple toward acting on their feelings despite Catholic Guilt.2 Gay couple, too, so extra guilt."
"Bonus points!" Ted pointed out cheerfully.
That was one of the things Booster lo--one of the things that made him lust after the angel. Contrary to the stuffy prudishness exhibited by his higher-ups3, Ted himself didn't have a problem with Booster's job. He even teasingly called him "Cupid" sometimes, despite the fact that Booster actually helped along lust, and the physical manifestations of it, rather than love.
Instead of tutting and shaking his head and giving him disapproving looks when Booster talked shop, Ted was genuinely happy for him. And Booster, in turn, couldn't help but share Ted's excitement with each new discovery he helped humanity make.
Stepping closer, Booster reached up and brushed back Ted's hair, smoothing out a few cowlicks the principality hadn't noticed and likely never would have. The smile Ted gave him was affectionate, brimming with Divine Love.4
When Ted leaned up to kiss him, hand warm on his arm, Booster felt possibilities spin endlessly in his mind even as desire sparked along the nerves of Ted's human-shaped body.
Booster kind of wished he were capable of love; Ted deserved it. If only for the way Ted's adoration made him feel so warm, and made his human-shaped chest feel too full.
Though maybe...maybe if a demon could make an angel feel lust....
Chuckling into the kiss, Booster wrapped his arms around Ted. Who knew? Ted had already inspired him.
-----
1. Which at the moment was far more than the parts that WERE visible, a fact which Booster was none too happy about.
2. The pervasiveness of it, and the trouble he had to go to to get around it, was, in Booster's opinion, sufficient justification for capital letters.
3. Much higher up.
4. The emotion had merited capital letters by being so beyond regular love, or even any human emotions whatsoever, that only a being who had gazed at the face of God could feel or express it.

Question: Would I get lynched if I linked my Ted/Tora fic over here?
