Two of my most cherished friends gave me a really cool looking plant for my birthday. It was even delivered to my door in Orange, 5 months after my birthday. It was so awesome. It may have one of two things wrong:
1. It may have a disease
2. It may have a mineral deficiency.
If it's diseased theres not much you can do, but as it may be a mineral deficiency, put some fertiliser on it. I'm sure nurseries would sell tiny bags of stuff specially designed for indoor plants with all the minerals and such they need. Yay, I'm helping (maybe).

Thank for the advice! My dad reckons it needs less water and more sunlight, so i've put it in the sunroom... if that doesn't work i'l go get some mineral stuff.

It's not lookking good though, two more stems have broken off, and they seem to have rotted at their base. I'm just hoping some will survive, and the whole thing won't die! But at the moment it's looking pretty ugly...!

there's been some white fuzzy stuff growing near the base - so that would mean fungus?

you got the fungus!!! what you need my dear is the fungiciiiiiiiiiddddeeeeee!

cut all the really badly infected leaves of as soon as possible, esp. if they look like developing legions (fungicide wont fix those bits)
