Some of you have probably wondered at some stage whether my thought-life, my values and worldview have changed since becoming a Christian. The answer is yes, definitely. Sophie, I read this interested and finished reading it quite content. It's very well written for starters, even though it is just a reflection of opinion. Using God as the material that weaves us all together is a very impressive and simple analogy; I had ever even though of it like that, but then again I am not practising my Catholic faith these days, but it does warrant some work on my behalf to think about it.

I have read only a small amount on feminism, but it mostly is interlinked to my own readings into philosophy and anarchism. Simular to racism, I personally believe that feminism has been used moreso as a weapon than a lesson for previous mistakes. I have found that the very roots of racism are not based on whether I insult somebody on their race or social orientation, but more so on the fact that we make some sort of distinction that they are different to us in some way of another. hey deane, glad you found it interesting, wasn't sure if anyone would read it to start with so,thanks!

I know what you mean about the roots of prejudice being tied to a basic lack of respect for fellow human beings. There is room for "discrimination" in society ie. the disabled are more vulnerable than those who are able - but for discrimination to be used as a weapon is tragic.

How we get the balance, that is, how to truly see humanity in its proper perspective, is the ulitimate question.
