Life as it is and not as you want...

I pretty much know what I want. I want to know, to learn, to grow and to experience that which I've yet to experience. Yes, I also want to have fun, feel comfortable, safe, content and all that, but more important than that is advancement. Life is not about staying put, but growing to one's full potential ( Read more... )

In ways, I think it's a whole lot simpler than fate or god slowing you down. I've come to discover that the moment that you chose to make your path a path of personal fulfillment or self-realization /actualization... you will find a math of hardship.

The modern world is full of freedoms to those who have them (and take advantage of them). However, the more you separate your path from those most heavily trodden, the more you will feel like you are being obstructed.

Not getting where you want only gets more frustrating as the picture of your future gets clearer.

Also. . .saw on your away message that you were back at hockey? how'd that go?

i've been at the rec center every day at 8:00 AM for the past week. Taking Cardiovascular Fitness and Strength Training. Pretty exciting stuff. It's fun to know what an elevated heart rate feels like again.

The best laid plans of mice and men.... morpheusdream85 September 9 2005, 22:23:05 UTC
Plans never come through in th end. Something always happens that makes things worse off. It sucks, but life goes on in the end. The wquestion you have to ask yourself is how are you going to adapt to the new life? Will you stay yourself or will you change with the times? It sounds like you made your choice, but the question is have you done everything you can to get it done?

Big Bryan,

I notice that in your entries, you put a lot of blame on God/Fate. It seems to me that you use them as a scapegoat, a way of not taking responsibility for things that you feel you cannot accomplish. Why is that?

I think that sometimes you make life more complicated than it actually is. Anything that you want or don't want to occur in your life is completely in your control. Although I do believe in God, I definately don't believe in fate, so I find it hard to believe that someone is playing PS2 with your life.

I think that sooner or later, youre going to have to settle for the imperfection that is each and every one of us, and just live. And dude, why the hell are you still at OU!!!
