i had the same kind of anxiety when i first started going back to the gym a few years ago... i felt soooo uncomfortable in my skin, and seeing other girls work out effortlessly (and freaking LOOK AMAZING while doing it) killed my motivation. i decided to start doing "fun" stuff for exercise. i started martial arts, which has been a tremendous motivator for me. the work outs are hard, and i am learning a skill... so there is this desire to do better every time, and i can see myself getting stronger week by week... plus i spar 2-3 times a week, and it's fun to kick other people in the head :)
