Did they give you no antibiotics at all? Or just not the very expensive ones? Because I figured hey, it's still surgery, I would have expected a little something as a precaution.

That said, if you do need it, and there's a Giant in the area, they have a list of free ones, your prescription may be on it.

And of course, glad things have turned out ok.

Well they did give me antibiotics while I was there but now that I'm released, no antibiotics for me (which is good seeing as how the doc said they would have cost me about 600 dollars!)

I didn't bring bad belly with me, I swear! Glad it got fixed before it got worse, though.

No kidding, beleive me by the time they actually did get me into surgery, let's just say the last time I was that happy to see an anesthesiologist I'd dislocated my elbow (and I think I was happier this time, as I'd been in pain longer)
