Burial Mounds

I'm not one for graveyard tourism except in Paris. But who wouldn't smoke dope on Morrison's grave or wear lipstick and leave your kiss on Wilde's? Oh yeah, there was also the visit to The National Museum of Funeral History in Houston, which left me wondering what might my fantasy coffin be? On some of these photos, the grass is so perfect and green and the sky is so blue it almost feels surreal.

Well, I gotta admit I'm a friend to saturation, but oddly enough some of the most colorful pics above have very little to no embellishment. It was just one of those odd overcast days where everything seemed vivid.

When I lived in Tennessee, I went to Pinson Mounds which looked very similar to the pictures you have above. I've been fascinated by burial sites since I was a kid.

Wow, that site looks really interesting. I never thought those types of things were in Tennessee. I always imagined they were even farther south. Would love to stop and see them on my next drive through.
