If It Happens Thrice, You Know It's Worth Mentioning.

Jan 21, 2008 10:32

I'm not one to really believe in destinies or divine messages or anything, but sometimes, when strange things happen in threes I get a little perturbed. For instance, a couple days ago I had a day off, or so I thought, and while I was out for a stroll nice and early I see this guy on a scooter bail hard into the rear of a truck... or I almost see ( Read more... )

Sounds like Vancouver needs to salt its sidewalks a little more!

"the lady geese trot out of the water like dinosaurs and practically mate with you"

Hahahahaha...

CITR looks like it has a nice setup there! Do you ever long for the ghetto days of CHLY?

I had a picture of one, that I seem to have deleted, but oh man, those lady geese are huge! One of them (no lie) tried to bite my nose off. Then it fought with the other one 'cause she was getting to close and I think she wanted all my food, but I didn't have any food, so she was vicious like a pimp needing his money ( ... )

You "had a show in the ozarks of time..." Hahahahaha...

Well you're not missing out on any rad CHLY meetings lately because they're haven't been any! Sad, really. I like that sort of thing too. I think "clubhouse atmosphere" is a good way to describe CHLY, but things haven changed in the past year, I'd say. A bit more negative. And I could speculate about a lot of reasons for that...

*sigh*

ITR is coming up on its 7 year anniversary this February! Oh Courtney, the other First Lady Of Rock! I miss her so! Congrats on your 7 year radio anniversary!

Roads are iced pretty bad here too lately. Went to a birthday party in the Stewart Ave area the other day, but in the steep hilly neighbourhood above Stewart, and the hills were just sheets of ice. Yet I still haven't seen anyone fall!

You know what drives me nuts? When people's first reactions to those sorts of scenarious is to laugh. It just makes things so much worse! Maybe that's why America's Funniest Home Videos was never my thing.

Your photo of the ducks under the bridge is like something out of a storybook, I love it! It even has the perfect lens flare, too. I really want a fish-eye lens for my Canon, but I figure I should use the $600 on a more "sensible" one. Besides the ol' Lomo, are you still shooting with the Rebel these days?

Also, I've been around my share of random strangers passing out, but three in one day (outside the context of drunken revelry, that is) is pretty impressive. Pretty soon you'll have to wear a Superman cape under your jacket anytime you leave the house.

You say that like I don't already!

I know what you mean, there are a lot of nice 1.2 lenses and external flashes I'd much sooner need before I get any funky lenses.

What we all need, is our own personal Scene Machines, check this magic - http://photos-244.ll.facebook.com/photos-ll-sctm/v157/245/23/793530244/n793530244_1833644_4320.jpg

I saw you! Maybe ... two weeks ago? Maybe longer? You were crossing a crosswalk on Richards, I think, or maybe Seymour ... I waved but you didn't see me 'cause your headphones were on. Anyway, random Jonathon sighting!
