I was hoping things would start to go my way after a pretty shitty and stressful 2009. I never left home. Not entirely because I couldn't, I could probably get another job now and be okay...maybe. But I have a shit ton of loans as well as credit card debt. My mom though understands thankfully and she makes it feel less like failure. Its harder than ever before to make it on your own. I originally started out by telling them that if they were 18 again (when they moved out of their parent's homes) they wouldn't be able to make it right now. Everyone I've told this to who seriously thinks about it has to agree. The hiring process is different, the pay is different. The economy is way way different.

look into the taxes though, someone was telling me that 25 is the only year you can claim earned income on taxes until/unless you have kids. That sadly wouldn't help you this year but it will be nice come next year.

I have a degree in graphic design, which I am not using to work as a cashier at whole foods. Welcome to the party, it sucks.
