I've never been one to hide the fact that I'm a bar loyalist. If I like the way a bar feels, the bartenders, and the specials, I'll frequent a bar over and over(and over again) until they do something to sway me away, or until someone does better. Considering I've written nothing in the past few weeks, about anything, I figured I'd write about ( Read more... )

I don't go out anymore. I have turned into an old, stupid, boring lady. I boo myself. And I live in the middle of nowhere. That doesn't help.

When you move to Minneapolis(and if you ever get rid of that headache of yours), you'll want to go out more, maybe not to get drunk all the time, but there's always somewhere to go and something do(when you don't have to drive home).

Huge factors for me. If I lived in Oakdale--lord help us all--I'd be going berserk, too.

MAYBE Oakdale is the source of my headaches. It makes sense.

Soon enough. And then we'll have to grab a beer, because I haven't seen you in like two years, except for the time I randomly saw you at Solera before the Damien Rice concert, but that doesn't count.

That's crazy that it's been that long, but I know I haven't seen you since I started dating Molly a year and a half ago. OY.

I know this doesn't help (hi btw!) but my favs still include Liquor Lyle's - obviously for the happy hours and nice staff - at least the last time I went to a bar, 80 bajillion months ago.

Regarding the Imperial Room charges I know my friend had probs with them once or twice with them overbilling on tabs or billing twice. Not sure if she got around to calling them though :( I would damn well make sure you do though! Even if it is still pending!

Hope you've been well Chad :)

Some bars put an overcharge on reserve then update the amount later (aka once you've written in the actual tip or no). It takes the bank a while to update the change. Very similar to what gas stations do. I wouldn't freak until the amount posts. Plus, you could always dispute with the credit card online, thereby saving the time of a trip to the Imperial room.

I've seen it where a restaurant will pre-authorize your card for, say, $100 if you happen to leave your card behind, but $31.50 seems like such an odd number. It hasn't posted yet, and I'm not THAT freaked out about it. Not yet, anyway. =]

Where is Mac's industrial and where is Restaurant Miami? How come I have never even HEARD of either?

Mac's is over on 4th St SE, right by the new Lund's, and Restaurant Miami is on Lake St, across from Bryant Lake Bowl.

Restaurant Miami is brand new, so that's probably why you haven't heard about it yet, and Mac's has been around for over 2 years.
