I want to write something! Only my brain has turned to potato. Also it's been 13 weeks since I last saw a BSG episode. I'd like to write something one day about my "type" of pet character, except that it's all tangeld up with their prettiness, the acting, the situations and whether they get sucked into rubbish relationships. Also Lee doesn't fit the pattern because he is a Good Boy. Hmm.

Hee! You should totally write something, hon! Perhaps you will get inspired when you see the prompts. :) It doesn't have to be something huge. Little is just fine...

And that thingk on your kind of pet characters sounds brilliant. I've spent forever tracing where Lee fits in my scheme of characters I usually attach to. Lee is a Good Boy, but he's not validated for his goodness by anyone, I think, so that makes him more sympathetic to me. I want to rush to his defence, you know? (Also: pretty! *g*)

I think that the thing with Lee, for me, is that he *is* a good boy (but perhaps wanting *not* to be too good, as his grandfather suggested to him) but he has a real and tangible dark underbelly that he struggles with and that makes him so much more interesting for me. I just find him endlessly fascinating. Of course the fact that he is almost stunningly good looking is an added side benefit!

He's still struggling with that balance--where to find it and how to trust when he's got it 'right', isn't he? Lee follows his heart but he also likes structure and needs to be able to explain his decisions (to himself if noone else) logically, and I think that's where he gets caught up in constant internal conflict.

Your challenge seems so awesome and different. I'm totally tempted to participate but I FAIL at challenges so I'll be happy just waiting to see what everyone comes up with!

Now I'm off to check out this amazing Lex vid!

Hee! I usually fail at challenges too. But I hope this one will be 'easy': there will be loads of prompts which can be interpreted multiple ways and 3 weeks should allow some time, yes? And also anything goes--short or small entries totally ok too!

Thank you for mentioning my rec lists! Maybe there is a way for me to participate even though I can't create something myself.

I am really looking forward to your challenge!

I think your rec lists should be more widely known! ;) I have a feeling you will gradually get known for that--you are very good at it!

Perhaps you could REC things in the challenge. Like you could do a 'DB's favourites from the challenge' post or something...
