Neither do I, but I came up with this one, and oddly enough, I've been able to stick with it for this long!

I think I'm going to the Arcade Fire show. It sucks that you won't be going.

I hope that whoever you're going with is the name on the ticket.

Bowerypresents.com announced that only 1) complete parties can enter, 2) You can only get in if you're the ticket buyer or if the ticket buyer is with you. So, if you and a friend try to go and neither of your names are on the tickets, you can't go in. If you have two tickets but you're going by yourself, you can't go in. Even if the buyer shows up and proves they bought the tickets, and says that they are giving them to you, you won't be able to get in without the buyer. It's led to some pretty ridiculous situations. They've been posting about it quite a bit on Us Kids Know, the Arcade Fire message board I go to.

so you had a dream of going to NYC, you got tix for a show in NYC and now you're going to chicken out. is that it?
you're not going to the moon, you're going to NYC.
it's a concert that you'll enjoy.
it's something totally different from what you say is your boring,
limited life where you are.
and now you want to back out...
balls my friend. find them.

No, I didn't get any tickets.

And yes, I did back out.

But, I might be doing something even greater now. I just haven't mentioned it here.

it's interesting that you should want to stop listening to music. i don't comprehend your reasons, my music collection is massive and constantly growing - but i personally like it that way. i suppose in a way, if it works for you.. well shoot. but, i could never, and would never do it. most likely because without music my life would be half as interesting as it is. i'm under the impression however, that the music i listen to on a daily basis depicts the soundtrack of my life. (does that make sense).. good luck to you bop 'n' scotch. xo.
