So, you haven't fallen off the face of the planet! YAY! :)
Glad to hear your internship is going well, even though I'm sure it must be difficult dealing with all the death. I guess that a part of practicing medicine but I imagine it never gets any easier to deal with. *hugs*
Congrats on being in the top five for the Reviewer Award! You totally deserve it! You always give great reviews! :)
Hope the rest of your day is fantastic! Talk to you soon!
You know, the worst part of it is that sometimes I'm glad I get affected by a patient's death, because I do get used to it, as awful as it sounds.
On a more positive not, I'm just so excited I was in the top five. I didn't review much before, but then when they started this round and set up a reviewer's award, I thought that even though I didn't have much of a chance of winning, this was the perfect occasion to be less shy and review!
Well, I wasn't wondering earlier, because I had my very own ridiculous assumption that I was the one who'd gone missing from LJ. Hope that your internship will continue to go well, and you'll find a balance some where in between being strongly affected and getting used to the deaths. That part of the medical profession is probably the one that make me admire the most, apart from saving lives. And congrats for making it into the top five :)
I guess that with people who don't post often (like me), it isn't very surprising when there's a month or so between posts. For people who write more often, the gap is noticeable.
J'étais en train de regarder House à la télé et je réfléchissais... Laura, où est-elle? ^_^
I guess life's hectic on the other side of the Alps too. :) Things have been good these past... 2 weeks? Yes, that's about right. They say no news is good news, so you must really like ICU!
