Friend-lock is on: DO NOT SEND ME PRIVATE MESSAGES ON THIS. To be added back (this means you'll have to add me first), just leave a short introduction in this post. It can be about anything really - more fic recommendations for me, the very first fic that drew you into the blackhole, how you came upon my writing. A little something to know you by ( Read more... )

hello^^ tbh, whenever i read ur story i am always captivated by the beautiful words that u used. i mean there's not much writer in this fandom who can write using different vocabs, vocabs that i never heard of sometimes. really, i learnt so much from you so im really happy that u decided to write. considering im always impressed by ur writing, it always made me wonder what did u study in uni (well, language can tell a lot bout someone) or yeah, maybe u're just born to have excellent english after all. :)) loll,,,i kept repeating this.

anyways, penance is quite a fresh idea coming from authors which is one of its' attraction for me. and i do hope u will continue this till the end :) know that they'll always be people who will read ur stories. all the best and can't wait for more from u. :D

Thank you, really. That's really nice of you, considering my past week has been filled with this guy from uni who keeps harping on my language in our group written report. And I almost died from having to rush out an individual research paper in a crazy, eventful week. To answer your question, I study law but sometimes I'm really itching to write more descriptive stuff because I love history and literature...

Now that my busy week is over, writing for Penance will resume. (:

Wow,taking law. My dad has many friends who r lawyers and they're really busy but make good money nonetheless n a lot have their own firms. I just wanna say it shows through the way u write n reply to comments. Very articulate, very good with words n formal like that. I hope you're not weird out by this...lol...

Oh yeah, I miss ur story n can't wait :))

Reading law can be so dry at times that sometimes I regret not taking history. There's this particular eminent judge I love who writes his judgements beautifully and includes nice literary quotes here and there. Yes, all the lawyers I know are being worked to the bone just for that extra money they earn. Nothing glamorous about it at all once the dirty truth comes out. Haha and don't worry I'm not weirded out at all. I enjoy the exchanges here and there. And it helps that you guys are so supportive and encouraging.

hiya! Yesterday I started reading your story Penance and became so addicted!! I would love to add you as a friend so I can go back and read the older chapters. I can't believe this is your first fic! You write so well. Writers who are just bad at phrasing things make me unable to enjoy the story.

Also, I read and love most of the stories on your fic list. Have you ever read anything by quirke?? She's AMAZING. She doesn't write anymore, but her stories are still up. She writes mostly one shots, but they're so beautiful. Same with orionsroad. I just.. love.. her.

Oooh and the Echo of Dusk & Echo of Dawn series. So good.

Oh, another new reader, hi! Thanks for dropping a note here, this was rather unexpected but I always love hearing from new readers. Why, thank you, that's very generous of you. Since it is my first fic, I'm always going back to edit bits here and there. It's a strange transition, going from reader to actually penning a plot.

I've read stuff by quirke, orionsroad as well as the Echo series by fi_chan. AMAZING writers they are, although their writing styles are very different. But it's good for us readers since we get a whole range of styles. I think I got sucked into reading fic after I stumbled upon the Echo series slightly more than a year back. It's like a blackhole, really.

There is a huge repository of fic out there, so I thought I'd just do up one with a range of old and newer writers whose work hasn't been in every single rec list floating out there. You've read all the fics listed before?

Hi! I've commented only once before on your fic(I don't know if you still remember me xD) and now I'm asking if you could add me back? I'm afraid you'll lock your journal some day soon and then I couldn't keep reading your awesome fic any longer :(
More to that, I hope you don't mind that I added "Penance" to my rec list. I think you've heard this a hundred time but your fic is just something very addicting and it's not everyday that I come across with such a good fic like yours^^ "Penance" is my ultimate favorite at the moment!

Sure, added! I'll be honest here - I am thinking of locking chapters 6 and 11a because the content is a little disturbing, and I'm not exactly comfortable with allowing unfettered access that.

Yup go ahead, I have no issues with that, although I don't really think I qualify for any rec list.

Thanks for reading!

I understand if you want to lock those chapters..
You're too humble -- you're definitely worth being in my (or any others') fic rec list^^!
Thank you for adding me back!:)

Hello! Just wanted to tell you that everything on your lj is amazing! I love Penance, especially the style of your writing! It's really nice and comfortable to read :)

And your yunjae fic rec list is the best!! I just finished reading Pandora's Box and I'm absolutely sure the ending kind of ruined my life sobs. Thank you for putting up such an awesome list, hope you'll continue to rec more great fics to us!! :D

I added you as a friend as well - hope you'll add me back, pretty please? *puppy anime eyes*

Hmm, I think you're the first person to say that Penance is nice and comfortable to read. In any case, thanks for reading! Since my exams have ended writing on Penance will resume soon.

I'm glad you like the pieces I recommended. Pandora was my first fic ever with a psychotic Jaejoong, and the ending and certain scenes have just stuck with me ever since. Such simple words, and yet so effective in conveying such powerful emotions. I actually added a couple of titles to the list recently. Do you have any favourites to recommend me?

Oh and yes, I've added you! No need for puppy anime eyes. (:

Read them all but Avoiding Mirrors, will read them after my current re-reading Indelible by yukimiya87.
I must say, I 100% agree with your reviews on all of the above ^___^
I wonder if you like sci-fi / apocalypse / horor kind of fics, if so I wonder if you ever encounter Butterfly's sleep by spokes-man ^.^ this story had successfully kept me at the edge of my seat and like reading a movie ^.^
Oh and never forget Expectation series by aquariuslover ^.^
oh so many .. so many of them actually...

Avoiding mirrors was so intense and gripping, the story really lingered for a while.

Oh! I've read a few pieces at spokes-man, even her latest Nuages Gris, but somehow missed out Butterfly's Sleep. Yay, another fic to check out. I actually like the sci-fi/horror genre, it's the hardest genre to write in my opinion, the kind of genre that will usually require a lot of chapters to bring the world envisaged to life. I'm waiting for the next update on Expectations, do you have any other fics to recommend me from the sci-fi/apocalypse genre?

Oh Nuages Gris is also my next favorite from spokes-man...

You can try Project Aria by razra-eizel. Not quite apocalypse story but it's a sci-fi (if you haven't read this already though.. ^.^)

Wow I have no idea how this author completely flew under my radar, I guess I'm still pretty new to the community. Thanks for the recommendation!
