I read (in the Times, I think) that his wife knew what was going on. Which explains why she was like, "Oh, yeah, he went somewhere for Father's Day, and I'm not sure where, but no sweat."

Oh, that wasn't ladypolitik; it was someone else.

Hm, well, basically, there were a dozen or so comments saying how excited they were about the press conference- speculating about what'd happen. And then, about 12 to 20 comments down, people start reacting with surprise and jokes at the revelation and it was all good fun.
