Edward Hopper - Early Sunday Morning

I wonder if Edward Hopper took photographs or if he just sat outside and painted for an hour or so at the exact time of day he needed to.

Now, that I'm thinking about it & looking at it, I'm pretty sure he was capable of getting this done in two sittings if not a single sitting. That's just over my head b/c it takes me so long to paint. I took a bunch of Hopper-esque photos this morning.
