I really, really hate how people make judgments based on prejudice. At least we pretend to have a justice system whereby people are "innocent until proven guilty." Some of that rhetoric smacks heavily of Dworkin and her "all sex is rape" rigamarole. I dunno, schtupping your subordinates isn't ethical no matter whether there was any coercion whatsoever. Illegal? Fricked if I know - they certainly couldn't nail Clinton for it. But unethical, sure. What happens now, he gets chastized by his peers in the business community? 'Kay. The only thing I disagree with is "the business of anyone but those directly involved?". Well - he kind of made it the business of everyone by talking about it on the air - apologizing on the air - etc.

I honestly think that should have been NO WAY apart of his show, his shtick, what have you. I personally think it should have been handled behind doors. Maybe even a letter from his handlers stating that "Mr. Letterman and his family would like to keep this matter private.".

I don't think we should nail him - or even care, actually. It's his life, and how are we to know that him and his (then) girlfriend didn't have an open relationship?

I think, though, the back lash was brought on by him talking about it. It should have stayed quiet (by him). Very awkward.
