Thank jesus for Chrissy. I probably never would have finished recapping the Jersey trip if she hadn't done it. Therefore I'm stealing her entry. I'll make my own comments here and there in bold. Copy and paste rules.
The rest is a bit of a blur, but I recall waking up to ed's phonecall and he was downstairs!!! He is just precious though. Said our byes to him and nate. Joe called to say bye and so we went to his house for his goodbye. Tried to break into an abandoned house but no use. Went back to nates for another goodbye and free shirts cds and capri sun, it saved us. Denis was at warped tour, ass.
At at our togos one last time.
Some old guy thought I was a hooker or something cause he kept talking to me asking how old I was and saying "when can I see you again". I kept replying never cause ew.
Drove around new jersey one last time. It was too sad. Saw a cool church
Off the freeway, er interstate? We saw this overhang.. Laura said " why is there a weird spider on the right?" In my defense I said that before we were this close to it. From far away it TOTALLY looks like a spider!
haha.. it is the state of new jersey in a 4 leaf clover. It's okay lolo I see the spider too..
and found one last cemetery. At this one Laura and steph found one of those crosses they put on the graves in the trash and a neon sign that said "funeral" we took both [one man's trash another's treasure].
Across the street...
Back on the road.
Pennsylvania AGAIN..
Stopped at a cracker barrel finally just because we had to know what they were! We played a set of giant checkers pieces. Bought some candy and mad libs [a road trip must-have] They were so hilarious.
The heavens were opening up.. so beautiful. Chrissy, you've been listening to too much jesus music.
If you saw this sign you would have done what we did too...
So we pull off the interstate only to drive 15 minutes out of the way and find out "the land of make believe" is some lame water park for young children that we probably wouldn't even fit in the tubes. Whatever. Stupid sign.
Just plain weird...
A truck we drove past...
Ate at gio's bbq. There was a semi cute boy no wait he wasn't cute there are NO cute boys that work or live or go near the interstate.
We stopped at Dubois to sleep at a best western. I climbed a wall of joy cause we were pooped.
Woke up early in the am to head out. Next stop, Illinois
for the movielife fans, we drove the 94 west... eat your hearts out.
Can we stop? Please?
Nope, more driving..
Ate and found another cemetery.
Back on the road.
Stopped in des moines to sleep. Ate cup o noodles and watched the food network.
Left yet again for Nebraska.
Which sucked and consisted of rain and lightning. But we passed omaha where conor lives haha. I played a bright eyes song in honor and steph and Laura puked during the 6 and 1/2 minute song "Waste of paint" but I loved every second of their torture. That was pure torture.
Another minor pit stop.
The boring rolling hills...
Next stop Wyoming.
We stopped for gas in the scariest hick town. It took 10 minutes to find a gas pump which looked like it had been the same one for 50 years.
At least there was a cooooool statue.
A huge Mary.
My cute pjs haha.
It said you could sacrifice things, so we did...
me.
Wyoming was big
We missed nate
If you look closely it's a real cowboy with tighter jeans than a scene boy in sevens!
Alright you got me guys... Payback for writing on my toe.
Steph wasn't liking those too much..
Dang you for hiding. No embarassing picture. You're no match for my lightning speed reflexes.
More lame driving pictures :]
We stopped in the town matthew sheapard was from. The aura and vibe was disturbing. Just being there I wanted to cry and run for my life. What a horrible city. Word. Creepy vibes like no other.
Drove past the rockies in the dark and on our way to Laura's final resting place.
Enter Utah.
Over 2 and a half weeks and Six thousand miles later.
Since we arrived in utah at like 4-6 am we slept. The next day was fun filled. Sonic for lunch. Saw coheed and kill radio posters on the side of the road by lolo's. Explored her new casa and area.
Saw the SLC capitol.
Passed the temple where we are gonna blow a trumpet and climb to the top of the statue. haha. The mormons will shit themselves.
Went to the mall and bought a hot shirt. I [bone] texas. Yes. Asked the worker of zumiez for the nearest cemetery.
NOOO. Oh well at least both mine and lauras died together? In different states...
Beautiful scenery.
The name says it all.
Very creepy, no?
Love is dead. How emo ♥
Statues!
Ironic, a dead squirrel in a cemetery.
yes.
Sunshine and rainbows.
Apparently my grandma is buried in that cemetery. Next time you girls come back we need to go hunt for her.
Then we went to burlington, completely tired. Bought night gowns. We look like princesses, minus Steph. She got a leopard set making her look like hugh heffner. :]
I passed out and the girls organized pictures and hung out. Woke up the next morning to pack and say our goodbyes. Went to sonic and the airport. Dad drove us and dropped us at the curb side. Weird, I am getting bit teary typing this. As we grabbed out luggage out of the back Steph me and Laura kinda just stood there. For a long time. We just hugged. And said bye. And cried. And laughed for being so stupid and crying. But I couldn't help it the tears wouldn't stop. So we walked into the automatic doors and it felt like a scene from a movie. I cried all the way to the terminal. The workers and other airport partons thought I was insane. Who cares. Steph and I sat for 4 hours in the airport as our flight was delayed. Thinking about laura, finally going home to friends and family, the end of our road trip, the ultimate end of summer. Everything culminated into one end. It was the saddest moment I have had this year.
Chrissy, that last paragraph was so sad for me. We gotta go back asap.
