At what point does humanity dictate that the conscience is more a tool to assuage our own guilt at success opposed to the true morality of perfect human emotion? If a child, say 6 years old, has no one to care for him, and no food to speak of, other than the once a week church breakfast, is it more moral to feed him once a week, keeping him alive ( Read more... )

Ok, this is a very morbid diatribe. Many of my thoughts are half formed, and i dont believe i am saying kill them all and let god sort them out. I just think that many things we as people do are worse than we think they are.

And i would also like to point out that i do not have all the answers, and it is a rather complex situation, but my main point of who we are as people stands. So what if you eat a little too much, so what if you enjoy sex, so what if your religion is shaky.... there is so much other ugliness in the world, ignorance is the only true sin.

Ok, i'm done editing my words for a while. lets see how these sink in.

Yes, they do shoot horses, but we're talking about sentient human beings here. Taking your argument to its furthest extent, there should be set up a system whereby an individual is killed immediately upon being diagnosed with HIV. Do you think that this is in keeping with basic human rights? You think that they're too stupid to know the terrible things that they do to each other, which is true. Why don't you just advocate the civilized world's taking over Africa again and settling things out for them ( ... )

But you didnt quite address the main question i am asking. Which is more humane, to let the child, or society, or animal, live in pain and sickness, or to let it die?
