Re: Great on the writingmissmaryrMarch 2 2017, 22:31:30 UTC
My writing has been blah. I am working on an original fiction and it just isn't moving. Maybe I just need to work on something else. May even some fanfiction again. Why is it so much easier to write fanfiction?
Both the sons working now (thank whatever God or Goddess you believe in); my work is frustrating sometimes but whose isn't?
Hmm. Sitting here talking to you just gave me an idea, a way to liven up the original fiction. Such as how a basically asexual alien would react to some of my older son's favorite curses-

Original fic... oh man, haven't been doing that in quite a while. The other day, however, I felt the urge, so I might end up writing some of that again, in Swedish.
Glad those writing muses came back! Sometimes they do return like a lightning bolt. ^_^
Sadly, yeah, everyone is leaving LJ/DW and migrating to Tumblr. I reluctantly ported myself over there, and if not for one dear friend I made, I'd 100% regret the choice. As it is now, I'm barely active on Tumblr. It's a rotten place. :/ I miss everyone on LJ.
I think... I dunno. I'm old and set in my ways, and Tumblr is a stinking sinkhole, I swear. There's no way of keeping tracks of things, and if RPing is difficult there, then just having a social sphere is bleeding impossible.
I just... miss everyone. Like, this place wasn't perfect in any way, but it was - at its worst - still better than what Tumblr offers today. Simple as that, really.
I'm just thinking... that I want to see some life in the comms here, but for seeing life, one must create life, right? So, see me write here!
Also, hahaha, I showed my gf some of your Shattered stories, telling her about how I, when was it...? Like 10 years ago, started reading your stuff, and that it was the best thing ever <3
Tumblr is the worst and I hate so much that fandom migrated over there. And honestly, it's not even worth it anymore to try and wade through the sludge to find something interesting.
I do miss what fandom used to be a lot. It felt like it was so much easier to actually have a conversation about things without feeling like some mob was peering over your shoulder, waiting to pounce.
I look forward to seeing you write more! *throws confetti*
Gosh, Shattered was so long ago. Talk about nostalgia. *remembers fondly* I can't churn out ficcage like I used to back then but man, I'm still fond of that series. I think you might be the only reader I still have from my noob days. Thanks for sticking with me! <3
When I was reading the Shattered stories, I was living in another country. My baby was like, 6 years old. I was writing my own stuff, busy reading Naruto and Bleach and so many other series.
I look back at it, and it just blows my mind how bloody long ago it was. But, those were the good days. And, I always loved your stories, so <3
I hate it too. And, it's like another friend said - you can only keep in touch with folks you already know. I'm keeping it for RP, and to post pretty kitties to my gf. And every now and then post something, I guess.
Tbh... Yeah. That mob-mentality sucks. Seriously. Which is why I just need to be here again. *grins*
Next question would be... Since I'm writing and all? Would you like something nice written? I need short-term goals, since I (like you) kind of end up writing loooooooong series 8D

There's just too much happening for me to stay ill, ugh. It's a process, however, and getting the health back is a long-term project of mine.
How are you doing? (:
