Just do it. Lol. No uhh i dunno try not to be so picky? And try online dating to start you off, that way you can really pick and choose who you would like to date...Just a thought though. ;)
Once I start thinking about being not picky, the thought arises: "who is THE ONE?" I don't find any point in dating anyone if they're not gonna be with me for a really long time! I know that's really childish to believe, but I don't know if that's wrong.
Once you start getting into the online dating, you start talking distance, and that's always inhospitable to relationships. Sometimes it can be hurtful.
Well what if your interests are so out of tune with the mainstream gay community that you can't get anyone you pop a message off to over one of the online dating sites to get a response back?
Haha, ohh, I've developed a couple of interests in boys over the net, and it was reciprocated. One guy who lived an hour and 45 mins. away from me called me five times a day at work, and it started to freak me out. He was pretty cute and all too. :( I kept on telling him that I don't put out the first time I meet someone, and he kept on pushing it. So finally I just blocked him and that was that! I also had a crush on a boy in MA, but it was totally infeasable and I said forget it. We're still LJ friends and we used to talk on the phone a lot more. :P
Online dating just isn't my cup of tea, though. It probably IS because my interests are out of tune like you say, because most gay youth will hit a gay bar, listen to Madonna, and hang out with other gay teens. I do not have any gay friends IRL (they're hard to come by), I've hit the club scene only a couple of times, and the last time I shaved below the face was like a year ago.
Now that you mention it, it really makes sense that I'm a rare breed among the rare breeds.
You're single, you're bothered by being single, and yet your potential mates being gasp-oh-my-god homosexuals is a turn-off? You're psyching yourself out.
