As you have noticed I've joined HiH too and I gotta say that it's fantastic. I am really enjoying being there and I've already got a super awesome team named Lovage *wink wink* :D

btw, have you managed to get an account on Pottermore yet ?

I did notice, lol! I'm so glad you're having fun, and yay for us ending up on the same team! :D I was all 'leave it up to the mods, I'm too shy to ask anyone to be on a team together!' and I ended up with a couple flisters, hee.

LOVAGE, LOL. We sound like a Bond Girl! TEAM BOND GIRL, WOO. :P

I have not. I've seen everyone go crazy about that place, but IDK anything about it (as Alex points out) and til people have gotten in and told me it's amazing and I really need to get on it, I'm resisting getting caught up in the hype. It seems to be causing a lot of distress and frustration, so I'm staying away!

LOL. They gave a bit more information on the site this week. But yeah, still vague. I think its going to be like a HP social network site but with some new stories and background information thrown in from the series by JK every now and then.

I haven't signed up yet either.

It just doesn't seem like something I'd be interested in, tbh. I have HiH for all my HP socializing needs, and I have enough flisters who're joining Pottermore that they'll keep me in the loop if there's anything I need to know. I honestly don't see myself signing up- apparently you can't even choose your own username, you get assigned one. Yeah, no.

*high five* We can be the cool kids that don't rush to join the bandwagon, lol.

I've wondered how you were bb! *hugs* glad to hear things are going alright - aside from those schedule frak ups! Ugh, I'm annoyed with you. And I know how you feel about the no Internet thing, although I have my cell to help me along with the pain. Are you planning to get an Internet plan or something?

I'm like, 90% convinced to go back to HiH. But I'm all "ughhhh should I get resorted?" Did you ever switch Houses btw?

Ohai! *huggleglomp* It sucks not being up to date with you guys. *pout* So nice to have chatted with a few people so far today, haha. (omg, my last post, so many unanswered comments, argh)

The schedule frak ups are enormously frustrating. I mean, on the bright side, it means I get to be here at the library on lj, but I'd planned to see my grandmother tomorrow, so now that's not gonna happen (the Work Ed was supposed to be Mon/Wed/Fri, but now it's def Thur/Fri this week and IDEK about next week) and yeah, it's just emotionally draining, like. I don't want to make it seem as though I'm SUFFERING AS NO OTHER HAS EVER SUFFERED but the more this 'first day' is put off, the more nervous it makes me for when I finally get there and meet people. >_Haha, my phone bill's gonna be massive. It's a primitive species of phone from from five to seven years ago, so it's got VERY limited internet ability- but I can acess email. Only if it's short, though! I can't read replies to lj entries, for instance, 'coz I'd be scrolling til next week and never ( ... )

Glad to hear your settling down in your new apartment and all. Don't worry about LJ-- RL comes first and we'll be here when you can get on anyway. :)

Thanks, hon. *snugglesmooch* It really feels so comfortable that it's like I've lived there for months, rather than just over a week!

It'll be nice when life settles down again into calm predictability and I can be on LJ regularly again. *fingers crossed*

IT'S ALIIIIVE!

And omg, speaking of guilt...I've been really slack with getting back to you, and I'm sorry. No hard feelings if you decide to stick with a different beta, I know I've been unreliable. >_<

But thanks for the comment! I'm feeling pretty good in the new house! Feels like I've lived there forever, haha!

Also. I just saw that new Baker ad last night? Or the night before? And yes, I was surprised how American he sounds, I thought it sounded more American than the last ad he did for here... I haven't really watched The Mentalist so I can't say how different it sounds to me.

And yeah, I don't like that they got someone not really based in Australia to do that ad... Geoffrey Rush would be a good choice he's influential and based in Melbourne..

It's been on for a bit, I saw it a couple weeks ago.

Lol, you think he sounds American? Huh. Maybe I'm just prejudiced! I've always side-eyed him for not working on his accent hard enough...LAZY, SIMON, JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

Hmm, okay, I see where you're coming from. To me, I thought it was cool, 'coz they sort of threw in Mentalist references and I LOVE fandom references! There was a bit of music from the show, and obv his psychic schtick is a direct reference to Patrick Jane, as well as him wearing the outfit of the character! So I was squeeing quite a bit. (even though I'm not a fan of the show anymore, really)

So as a fangirl, it was really cool fanservice. But I can see how outside of that pov, people might be annoyed at the 'irrelevance' of someone like him doing the ad.

PS. ANZ is my bank, haha.

Maybe on the show his Australian accent does come through a lot, I don't know. :P
But in the ad the longer hard 'a's, the reflection in the 'i's and the way he pronounces or shortens some words just seem more American to me.

My first bank was ANZ ♥
I miss being able to go into an ANZ branch with wonder. :P

Yeah the ad was cool. :D I just think at least for Australians it might not go down too well having 'the Mentalist' character promoting one of our banks (well and New Zealand's..)

You're so analytical! I love it. I shall rewatch that ad and see if I get the same.

I'm terrible with accents, though. And like with mine, nobody knows what to call it- I've had a dozen different countries attributed to my accent, lol.

WHY DID YOU LEAVE ANZ?! :O

I miss being able to go into an ANZ branch with wonder

Why with wonder? Were you very young then and thought it was all cool and such? Did they have a nice building? What was wondrous?!

IDK how I ended up with ANZ, tbh. Must ask my parents. Perhaps they had a good rate for students or something?

Gee, I thought 'Aussies' were supposed to be easygoing! Kinda funny for me to see people getting worked up about it! It'd be one thing if he was a different nationality all together, but no matter his accent, he's still Australian!

My nickname's Anz, btw. Just throwing that out there.
