Well, the shows I watch regularly are: Revenge, Body of Proof, Castle, Fringe and now Alcatraz. I’m really loving Alcatraz in particular, btw, new fave show!

I'm not normal, so. *shrug*

IDK, I guess- kids have imaginary friends, and it's seen as a normal part of childhood. At least I'm looking at something that's there, whereas those kids with imaginary friends aren't even looking at anything real!

I actually TRIED to make myself believe in an imaginary friend, but it was too frustrating to pretend someone was there, lol.

I was going to include that on the list, but the question asked for shows I would rec and a) hoshinekoyasha already watches it, and b) I'm not sure I'd rec it anymore.

I love the hell out of Regina and I'm very fond of Emma and any interactions between the two ladies, but the rest of the show is a hot mess and I'd be hesitant reccing it til I get to the end of the season and see whether it redeems itself or not.

Hmmm, I've been thinking of giving Alcatraz a shot, even though it didn't really appeal to me based on the trailer thingy I saw for it.

One of my FAVORITE teachers had spent the majority of his career teaching high school in Fiji. He was so great, everyone really loved him. I'm wondering if it wasn't just the students that were different? (although the physical punishment thing isn't nice, I do agree that I've seen a few kids... okay, more than a few... who would really deserve it).

He and his wife were actually really good friends with my mom and when she was going through a hard time financially they actually offered to let her live in their home in Fiji because they were away from it most of the year. Not really relevant, except to show how awesome he is, I guess...

OMG DIGIMON! LOL I used to love that show when I was around 11. I totally forgot about it, though!

The trailers are kinda bad. Or at least, the one I've been seeing is to a RIHANNA song. Just. Why would you even?! O.o The actual show is delightful, and I'm adoring the friendship between the main chick and the writer dude. I know it might seem like another Castle-esque thing with the female cop and male writer, but the dynamics are totally different and yet still so sweet and endearing. And Sam Neill, eeeiiiik! And SUSPENSE and MYSTERY and YESSSS.

Was your teacher Fijian/Indian or just happened to live there? It's interesting to me that his career was based there and I'm curious if he was a native who moved away or what. *intrigued*

Mama's a teacher and she is also quite popular with the kids. She was at my school for a term and most of the students got on well with her! (thank goodness, for my own sake, lol) But I think it's 'coz she's confident and snarky and isn't intimidated by them, whereas a lot of teachers here put the power in the kids' hands because they're worried about them, y'know? Haha I caved and watched the pilot for Alcatraz yesterday. Don't love it yet (but it's just a pilot, they're almost always boring) but I'm definitely intrigued. So far, The main character's (I can't remember her name, omg that's pretty bad) budding friendship with Diego (the only reason I remember his name is because that was my cat's name) is my favorite thing about the show. I'm not really very invested in the plot but I definitely want to keep watching

Not sure if you ever got into Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel, or if I've brought this up before, but WESLEY/FAITH. He was her watcher. She tortured him. She went to jail. HE BROKE HER OUT OF PRISON. And then they had to work together. And he carried her (a la Sparky). They were so broken and I shipped them SO HARD.
