You're a Sansa fan! How exciting! She is legit one of my favorite characters of all time, and it legit boils down to her arc (have you read any of the books? I don't want to spoil you for this amazing amazing amazing lady, but ughhhhh Sansa in the books: so good. Sophie Turner is killing it and it makes me really happy

:D I'm excited you're so enthusiastic! I was sad when I googled for gifs and I kept seeing all this anti-Sansa stuff, even though I already knew she wasn't popular, so the Sansa support is awesome! (although prob that's 'coz any people who loathe Sansa on my flist are too polite to shove say so)
I haven't read the books, but I wiki'd her a while back 'coz I was really interested in her character and wanted to see how things turned out with her. REALLY BADLY, BASICALLY. Okay, so she's not raped or tortured, afaik, but still, she goes through so much, poor bb. I'm sure Sophie will continue to do justice to her character, so eager to see more! It comes back in a month or so, right? *bounces*
there is so much about Sansa that speaks to me on a very visceral level, and there is so much about her that I legit and 100% adore, from her ability to be politically savvy on a level none of the Starks actually are, to her 13/11-year-old's naivete about the way of the world and her love of epic songs and gallant and true knights and fair maidens.

I've seen plenty of Sansa hate all over, and it just makes me irrationally angry. I mean, like, you're allowed to glom onto whichever characters most speak to you, but that doesn't really justify some of the outright vitriol people spew against her, mostly because she's naive and a teenager who dares to exist within a feminine framwork.
Her arc in the books is one of my favorite things ever, but oh goodness, my heart hurts for poor sweet Sansa. She just goes through so so so so much-- and though her situation does improve, she's still not a master of her fate. But I love how her arc is handled and what it's setting her up for

*eyeroll* It's seriously bizarre who some people fangirl and then turn around and bash Sansa. This is a show with a lot of frakked up people who betray and hurt and kill others, but Sansa is the worst for believing in fairytales? IDGI.
while I hope that she is the Last Woman Standing, Queen on the Iron Throne, I'm almost entirely sure that she is being set up to rule, probably as Queen in the North. And I want that for her so so much. Also I want Arya to be in her Queensguard because sistersssss.
OMG, I hadn't thought of this! I would love that even more! The Iron Throne is more trouble than it's worth, Queen of the North would be better! And ESPECIALLY if Arya were part of her guard, GUH. ♥
what I love most about her arc is that she is simultaneously observer, instrument and player of the game. In a lot of ways she occupies the same spot as the readerYou have

My father in law sends me flowers every Valentine's Day just because it is something he likes doing (And now Chicklet gets flowers too - she had her own bouquet of peach roses.) So, not pity, just love and love is good. :)
My grandfather used to do the same thing with me and my cousins, which made me happy. IDK why I feel it's different with parents, it's just my own internal thing that is inexplicable, I guess. But you're right, it's out of love, and that is a good thing. ^_^
I dont get why everyone hates Sansa either! D: I mean, shes not one of my favourites, but i love all the Starks by default (bad idea, that. lol) so i still like her. But I think being the eldest girl she's sort of been trained to be such a lady, but theres nothing wrong witht that. she's got guts too, hers is just a quieter kind of strength. IDK if youve read the books, but im up to part 2 of book3 and she's definitely had to show some strength so far.
Ha, I never realized there were a lot of Sansa supporters on my flist! I thought I'd be the odd one out!
i love all the Starks by default (bad idea, that. lol)
Oh, god, THIS. #1 rule of the series- do not sympathize with the Starks. Don't have even a smidgen of fondness for them, because if you do, IT WILL BREAK YOUR HEART. *wibble*
I think it's just that when I'm a bit over the usual message that a girl can only be strong when she has typically masculine traits and when she scorns girly pursuits and looks down on fellow females. I'm into the idea that it's okay to be a chick and to like stereotypically girly things like wanting a prince and dreaming of falling in love and sighing over ballads. Hence my fondness of Sansa.
Don't get me wrong, I thought Arya's scenes were great and her 'dancing lessons' delighted me, but there's such an emphasis on 'strong women must scorn feminine things' these days that I read things into her story arc that makes me a bit

MY HEART'S ALREADY BEEN BROKEN. LOL OOPS. Seriously though, the books... THEY ALL DIE. Or at least someone thinks theyre all dead, some of them are sneaky... but they're getting killed off rather quickly. Thankfully not Sansa yet!! But yeah, a lot of shit goes down in the books, i think Sansa has to leave her fairytales behind and grow up pretty quickly. She stops being so cry-y though, which is good, cause thats what annoyed me about her lol. But she has to sort of become immune to all the shit thats happening to her family, i think it takes a different kind of strength to what arya has to stay where she is and not try to run. and not go insane haha.
but yeah, the books are HUGE. but judging my the first book/series, not a lot has changed, so i dont think youre missing out by not reading :D
Hee, that's good there were no frills or anything! I tend to get a bit jealous of other people's Valentines' gifts/plans. I don't actually want a partner, but I do want the things that go with having a partner! My theme song could be Madonna's Material Girl, lol.
*high five* ITA!
Aww, maybe you need to be a bit less independent and a bit more immature so they feel the need to spoil you into submission? Works for me... :P
Ha, yes, I pride myself on my self-awareness. I just wish I could think of AWESOME traits I shared with my faves instead of all these negatives!
You should write a tv show with a character based on you in it, just so you can satisfy the meme by comparing yourself to your fictional self. Or, wait, write a book that is super successful and gets adapted into a movie/tv show. Lots of authors write self-inserts these days, after all! Smeyer, SMH
