I have a problem with spending money on food. It is really hard for me to do. I just see it as such a huge waste of money because, as I mentioned to revengent once when I was angsting over spending money mother gave me to buy myself dinner, food is transitory. I see no value in spending money on it, unlike with possessions I can hold onto for years ( Read more... )

Your oh-so-appropriate icon! <3

Groceries are so expensive but it's worth it for the chocolate.

Omg, CHOCOLATE. I was weak and gave in! I blame everyone in this post for telling me I should spend money on food- there's chocolate on sale this week for $2 each and I gave in! BUT I AM READING AN AWESOME LOKI FIC RN AND NEEDED SOMETHING TO MUNCH ON WITH IT, SO.

And I have even been cooking again, so I'm just really awesome, as you well know. :P

If I could cook like you, I prob would bother with groceries! As it is, there really is no point, lol. I had a look at those frozen meals at Safeway, and some of them looked interesting, but...meh. $10 for something that'll last one night? And may not even taste very nice since I'd be microwaving, rather than oven-ing it? I'll pass. (I WAS SO TEMPTED TO GET APPLE PIE, THOUGH, 'COZ OMG, I LOVE APPLE PIE- but then there was a warning there saying, 'we do not advise you put this product in the microwave' and I was all *sadface* and put it back in the freezer *wibble*)

I wish I thought like that ( ... )

What's morning tea for you? Biscuits and such?
(and lol, it always sounds funny to me- 'tea' meaning food! And then Australians using 'tea' to also mean dinner. SO CONFUSING)

Yeah...as above- I just got used to not eating because of:

a) bucking society's dictates (I WILL NOT EAT SOGGY CEREAL OR A GROSS SANDWICH BECAUSE IT'S ~EXPECTED)
b) wanting to save money, and
c) wanting to keep my computer and knowing if I leave for a moment, someone else would snatch it up.
d) having a sorta semi eating disorder because of issues. When depressed and suicidal, eating didn't seem like much of a priority This isn't a factor anymore, but it did help form the habit back in the day.

Wow. Can I please have your money hoarding skills? Swear to god bb, you are going to be a millionaire one day.I would gladly share my skills if it were a ( ... )
