This is a sticky post! If anyone wants to spam me for whatever reason, feel free. Thoughts, recs, questions, etc. all are welcome here.

I'm going to be spamming myself heaps, lol. I keep having people rec me things and then I lose track of their comments, so I'm going to post them as a reminder to myself here to make sure they don't slip through ( Read more... )

Hi there, you.
They disabled commenting over on the book-post, so I'm responding to your comment here.

I like your evil. :)

ATTWN is such an excellent book. I haven't read it in years, but I remember loving it to pieces. My mama raised me on really excellent mystery writers - Ngaio Marsh, Agatha Christie, Arthur Conan Doyle, Arthur Upfield, Dashiell Hammett, etc. - and I still have the battered, dog-eared copy of ATTWN that she gave me. It's older than I am.

How do you have so much self-control? When I find a really excellent romance novel, I can't stop myself from making massive grabbyhands and gobbling it up in one go (I've been known to do the same thing with boxes of chocolate and bottles of wine. >.>)

Hey, bb! *squish* Yeah, I was sad at the disabled commenting, I had so many responses to make, gah! (but I guess it can't be all about socializing, lol, club leaders gotta tally comments and such!)

>:D Why, thank you. *preens evilly*

I haven't read any Agathas in years, it's shocking, but ATTWN is so awesome, I compare a lot of mystery plots I see to it (and other books of hers). I think sometimes people don't consciously rip her books off, but the ideas and twists and that have been so popular that it's like a trope in the genre and that's so cool. ^_^

Aww, that's so sweet, you have that history! I read mine from the library, lol.

I finally finished Venetia with a wistful yet content sigh. *mourns* I don't want it to be oveeeeerrrrr. I've read three Georgette Heyer books so far- one was so awful, I couldn't stand it, but I'd read Devil's Cub (awesome!) so I gave her another go with Venetia and I'm ever so glad ( ... )

Aww! That's so cool! (lol, I have another fic actually called Trapped, maybe I was subconsciously picking up vibes about this quiz and writing for it? I'm secretly telepathic/precognizant, yo!)

Thanks for making me feel special! :D
