Today I met Anne Fadiman. I am so happy that I chose to walk past Harvard Book Store to go to the CVS that was technically out of my way to get home from work. She's excellent!!! She's married to George Howe Colt, who used to teach at Smith (though I don't think he does anymore now), and at the end of his course he likes to invite all of his students over to their house for a dinner. She also came to the class to speak, it's amazing to look at all of her research material and hear her describe her writing process.
