Sadly, I was in a hurry and did not even know there was any of the powdered sugar in the house at all.
I know what to look for now. The sugar makes small coherent clumps that are not seen in the flour. Live and learn, I guess. At least the failed cookie materials aren't all going to waste.
I'd be a lot more annoyed if I hadn't used the Kitchen-Aid to mix all the stuff. That thing makes the job a whole lot easier! (Can you tell I like it a lot?)

I have two identical shakers, one with flour and one with sugar. I really don't like having to taste to tell the difference. ;-)
