Wow, that is a shock decision, but thankfully one you're in the best possible position to deal with. And it's a kind of promotion, so what a great way to end your career (assuming you do retire as planned)!

Love the photo of you and wee Hazel - just think, next year when you retire (and the world is a bit more on top of Covid), you can go and spend as much time with your far-flung family as you want!

It's going to be interesting...but I do have a very team-oriented staff so I think we can pull it off!

Awww, look at that sweet baby. I bet you didn't want to leave.

Wow, talk about a rug being pulled out from under you. I'm glad you've got the skills and confidence to roll with it. Shake ups like that can really make people feel uncertain about the future.

I am surprisingly not worried. We have a very solid team in the office.

And how I did not want to leave!!!

How wonderful for you to go and see your family. Over here we're not going to be allowed to do that until mid-May!
I'll bet the changes at work came as a shock, I hope it all works out for you; it sounds like you ex boss has your best interests in mind!

My ex-boss has set it up to succeed as best he could. It will be interesting to meet the new boss on Monday.

I can't wait until I can get my family together from all over!

Well, the new owners are bending over backwards to keep the staff happy because they have realized they need us, so that is good.

And I get daily pix of my grandbaby, which helps with missing her...
