I love it how the newspaper headlines have changed over the week from "MILLIONS WILL DIE!!!" to "MILLIONS.... MAY GET SICK!"

Already a few hundred people in Poland went to hospitals claiming they have pig flu. Country of hypochondriacs.

Honest Q: does Poland have universal healthcare? Or are these hypochondriacs paying for their paranoia?

Universal, national health care system. Of course. The system is poorly designed and hospitals are overcrowded, but patients don't have to pay for visits. Lots of times I heard from doctors that even if there was a 2$ or 4$ fee for each visit, it would improve a lot because at least hypochondriacs would stay home.

I don't see how it would improve situation if hypochondriacs would stay home because visit at doctor's would have obligatory minimum fee. Hypochondria is a disorded, one quite often linked to depression, OCD or phobias so these people should be treated (for the root problem not the symptoms they perceive as their illness of course) and not be encouraged/forced to stay home.

I dunno if you watch the Daily Show but Stewart mocked CNN for turning 4 million sq miles red because of 6 mild cases of the Swine Flu in Canada.

6 cases, 4M sq miles....hmmm.....
