Standing in Line for Food

We;'ve all seen it - ads on tv showing local people in our community down on their luck, standing in line at the food bank for a meal. Or worse, the starving people in Africa lining up for a chance to take some much needed food home to their families, hoping the aid has come in time.

It's more than a little sad, because it's also likely that the majority of the people standing in such a line at a restaurant are thinking of nothing but their own impatience to get in to eat the good food they will have there -- and are not thinking important things like this, about those who wait in line for a cup of milk and a sack of flour. Even if they stayed in line at the restaurant but were aware of what they have that others don't, it would make a difference in the long run in how they go through life -- and that would end up making a difference in the lives of those who wait in line because their life depends upon it.

i wonder why, considering the offer given, that there are not lines of folken waiting to be Baptized and recieve Holy Communion. But thats just me wondering.
