What are you using to battle the fleas? Is it possible she ingested it somehow? Was she bathed in any kind of flea dip already? Some dips are very toxic to cats and will cause drooling, among other things.

Drooling can be indicative of many different things, one of which is nausea. Another is neurological problems. Or oral disease.

Pulling out of the fur can also indicate neurological problems or allergic to fleas.

Not wanting to eat can go anywhere from nausea, oral disease, diabetes, hyperthyroid, kidney disease, etc.

Is she drinking at all? Vomit? Diarrhea?

To battle the fleas on the cats I have been using frontline plus. I try to avoid flea dips for just that reason. I also have a fairly potent house spray for fleas that I got from work, but haven't tried using it yet because I wanted to see if the frontline would kill them off without having to dump chemicals everywhere. I haven't seen any more fleas anywhere on the house other than a couple still lingering on Gremlin, so it seems to be a fairly sound approach ( ... )

Is the Frontline the only thing you've used to get rid of the fleas? What all have you done in fighting the good fight ( ... )

I've done some minor chemical treatments for the house and also steam cleaned the carpeted areas. I broke down the other day and grabbed some cheap over the counter spray to apply directly to the cats, because the frontline is not working on gremlin. I haven't seen any "loose" fleas anywhere in the house. Not one. At this point, I think I've narrowed it down to the basement. However, I'm not spraying anything more until I know what's wrong with Mischief. Unfortunately ( or fortunately ), Mischief's symptoms began to appear prior to me using the cat spray. I can't blame it on that.

It's a serious pain in the ass and I am definitely nervous. I tried to coax her with ice cream ( the only thing that I have ever seen her get excited about ) but she wouldn't eat it. She cried for it and went all nutty trying to get to it, but when presented with a teensy bit on a spoon she just smelled it and did nothing =(

Thank you!! Her appointment is tomorrow morning. I will be posting shortly afterwards.

Fleas are a major pain in the ass. I believe I have it narrowed down to the basement, which should be fairly easy to hose down, but first I need to see what's wrong with Mischief. Especially after steam cleaning the carpets, I haven't seen any fleas in the rest of the house aside from a couple still on Gremlin. I think she may just be too fat for the standard dosage of frontline. Ehrm...too robust, no....too jolly...too fat.

Please do let me know if you have any guaranteed safe treatment methods. I don't even know definitely where the fleas originally came from. The cats don't go outside and we didn't have them last year.

Poor babies. I'm going to try to tempt Mischief with some ice cream again. I know it's bad for her, but it's the only food I can think of that she goes crazy for.
