What will happen when everything in this universe is understood? Would we remember then that the universe is so big, and we are so small, That life is so short, and death is so permanent, And that fulfillment in life is nothing more than unraveling the mystery of things.
It's my belief that history is a wheel. 'Inconstancy is my very essence,' says the wheel. Rise up on my spokes if you like but don't complain when you're cast back down into the depths. Good times pass away, but then so do the bad. Mutability is our tragedy, but it's also our hope. The worst of times, like the best, are always passing away.
In the time of your life live so that in that wonderous time you shall not add to the misery and sorrow of the world, but shall smile to the infinite delight and mystery of it.
