Some people are never going to learn.
And it really saddens me.
I'm starting to no longer believe that we
can make the world a better place. Sometimes
it's hard to keep having faith in people. It seems
like no one really cares. And it seems like people
are just completely ignorant, selfish, egotistical,
and way too prideful. What's happening?

You could try reasoning with those people, or better yet, just forget about them. There are plenty of people out there that aren't like that; you just have to find them.
