What is a good English song to teach a 9 year old? Recommended songs in English teaching books just don't work because they're aimed for toddlers. (Just because English isn't your first language doesn't mean that you have to learn what native English speaking toddlers do ( Read more... )

Great suggestions, thanks! She saw [the censored version of] 'Love Actually' so I think she might be excited to learn "All You Need is Love".

They're a bit old fashioned and maybe a bit too kiddish - but they're fun:

Maybe even some of the longer nursery rhymes might do the trick?

Only been back for a little bit - I'm trying to breath some life back into my lj after realising Facebook really is a useless waste of time (as opposed the the useful waste of time that lj is).
