'Love is...' (something to do with DNA?)

Jun 04, 2003 22:04

I have just had a rather interesting, amusing and in some ways infuriating conversation with someone i foolishly believed to be intelligent and opened minded. I am very disappointed in myself. But isnt it frustrating when trying to argue a point with a person who clearly has no arguement or support for there claims? I have enough problems with ( Read more... )

I have to say i couldnt have put things better myself. I find the super-religious narrow minded people the worst. I was recently told that my (albeit limited) psychic ability came from the Devil. When i replied with an expression commonly seen on very confused fish i was told that what i was being told was true as it said so in the bible. People, please. This is not an argument. Fight fact with fact or opinion with opinion but dont proceed to think your way is the only way - its almost certainly not.

Theres not many ppl in this world i can agree with and who can put an argument across as well as u, but u do it in a style that exceeds many others. I dont pretend 2 know about religion and the way the world works but 1 thing i am, is open minded and able 2 see wot a lot of others dont.

what an ass, i hate people who think they know it all and wont listen to anyone elses point of view. That DNA thing cracked me up - you should pity him, he obviously knows nothing and must live a really sad life if he doesnt believe in love etc.

Do you remember how we started that argueement off ??
Because if you do, then great, Beacuse all i did was express my view's on life
Which you said "BULLOX PHILL"
Then I tryed to make you see why I belive this, which you went off on a mad half hour
Of which you acused me of "Knowing Everything" and "Being God"
As I said "God Is DEAD" and "One head cannot contain all wisdom in the universe"
I Don't claim to know it all and never will

You make that sound like your making a case
to have my head chopped off

It is foolish of you to pretend that that is what you did. Who are you trying to convince? I was in the conversation and i know what you said. Arent you strong enough to admit that ( ... )

Also you DID infact claim to 'know-it-all' and during the whole conversation there was no evidence of you expressing views but rather insisting that you all you said was fact and truth though completely un-supported. My use of obscenities began before this areguement when you offended me by mocking my friends marriage vows when trying to pass of your opinions of love as fact.
