i hate having weird dreams. they freak me out.

I never have, like, vivid dreams. You've got a whole story going on with yours. That's awesome.

Sleeping pills, along with any sort of drug, can alter your dreams, but it seems that while on any medication they are more vivid. I read a book with a section on dreaming in it, and that was one of the warnings about trying to interpret dreams.
