Lila told me about this pilgrimage from France to Spain where you walk from one country to the other, you only spend the equivalent of $7 a day and you sleep in churches every night which sounds AWESOME and thrifty and I hope we can do it! I don't think it's through any organization really, just a continuous stream of people traveling the same route which is pretty neat in and of itself. I bet you could pass it by as study abroad though, it's easy to slip under the radar like that usually!

So yesterday my grandmother said that the pilgrims are hostile toward americans making the pilgrimmage! they think it's sacreligious. i'm going to do some more research on this...

is it a religious/nationalistic thing?! from what you told me i was really hoping it was just a mass of like-minded people seeking travel enlightenment, i guess maybe that doesn't exist. bummer!
