The very painful sinus infections that have been plaguing me for a month and getting progressively worse are now being dealt with. I've spent most of the weekend in a histamine haze, taking "severe allergy/sinus" meds to drain the sinuses and the attendant infections dammed up in there

Saline. Lots of nasal saline. Maybe irrigation, in addition to the spray.
